A group of five people, two adults and three children, taking a selfie outdoors during the daytime with a bright blue sky and some clouds in the background. They are smiling and appear to be enjoying themselves at a park or playground.
Smiling woman with curly brown hair and a man with glasses and a beard, both at the beach with green hills and a boat in the background.

After 7 years as a youth worker in London and then foster dad in Norfolk I now have the absoute pleasure of being a wedding photographer in Basingstoke!

I live here with my flipping incredible wife Nicola who is just finishing her training (Curacy!?!) to be a vicar - pretty sure I should be able to use this to get more bookings right??

We have two sons, Jed and Eephy who are 4 & 5 and are absolute bundles of fun, energy and a whole bunch of other emotions all of the time. They’re great.

A bit about me…

Children riding bikes at a skate park during daytime, with one child jumping off a ramp and another riding on the ground, surrounded by trees and spectators.

Saturday morning means BMX Club

A woman dressed as a priest interacts with two young boys wearing religious attire, smiling and looking at a mobile device.

When Mum’s a vicar…

A coastal village with white houses on a hillside, overlooking a calm bay with a sailboat, under a partly cloudy sky.

We love holidays in Cornwall - I proposed to Nicola on this beach!

Three men in formal attire, two wearing tuxedos and one wearing a turtleneck, happily conversing and laughing at a dinner event in a decorated restaurant or banquet hall.

These legends run FramEd - a photography community I love being part of

A man walking on a dirt trail with two children, one in his arms and another walking beside him, towards a scenic ocean view with hills and cloudy sky in the background.

Coast walks are the best - even if they involve a bit of carrying…

A man is carrying a young girl on his shoulders inside a grand church or cathedral with tall stained glass windows and stone columns, surrounded by a crowd of people.

So why Wedding Photography?

I love being creative. The way I shoot weddings means there is no script - so I get to see all that is happening at a wedding and create a coherent story of your day from all the moments as they unfold.

I love variety. And every wedding is different - because every couple is different!

I love helping people. A small but important part of my day is (often quietly) being a reassuring presence. Such as when a Groom needs to hear that it's ok to feel what he's feeling, and that he's doing great. Or a teenager who wants to chat about cameras and show me the photos they’ve taken.

I could never have imagined being a 41 year old, married, Dad of two boys, taking photos at weddings as my job...

It's pretty awesome.

A group of children and a man with painted face, lying and sitting on grass, playing with chalk and laughing.

What does all this mean for you on the day?

It means you don’t have to worry about sticking to any photography timeline or making sure everything is ‘perfect’. You can just crack on with enjoying yourselves and being present with the people you love. Ultimately, I’ll make sure you have some amazing images to go alongside all the memories.

‘You don’t need to be posed by me. You’re interesting and awesome enough just being you. And I’m sure your friends and family are too’
